Frozen Shoulder?!?

Although the winter temperatures are dropping – even here in Florida, it is no reason to let your joints get “frozen”.

Frozen shoulder, also called adhesive capsulitis, causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder. Over time, the shoulder becomes very sore and hard to move. Frozen shoulder occurs in about 2% of the general population. It most commonly affects people between the ages of 40 and 60, and occurs in women more often than men.

People suffering from frozen shoulder cannot raise their arm up sideways more than 90 degrees without rotating the entire shoulder girdle. As a result, they find it impossible to do basic daily activities such as: putting on a shirt without gently putting the affected arm in first; putting their hands on their hips; washing their hair with both hands; shaving the affected armpit, or fastening a bra behind the back.

Nagging or sometimes excruciating pain at night is often experienced by many people suffering from frozen shoulder; which may result in sleep deprivation or even depression.

At our clinic we successfully treat this syndrome, and other musculoskeletal conditions, on a regular basis with our Deep Wave Vibrational Therapy. Each session takes only minutes to release and gently breakup the micro-adhesions, eliminating severe muscle spasms, and freeing the obstructive scar tissue, in order to restore the affected area to pain-free & optimal range of motion!

Because muscle pull imbalance is often the primary cause for the frozen shoulder, regular functional and restorative training to correct the imbalance, works well for most clients who then can avoid costly, invasive, and painful surgical procedures!
